I ran into a woman named the godmother the other day at a gas station in St. Louis MO. What was so intriguing about The Godmother was she was beautiful but bold and powerful just in her conversation. She was hustling her music but grinding harder then most men I've seen. I knew from the moment I saw her that she had a gift, she had a special glow about her and then out of nowhere she begins to rap. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, I mean this was a female who went against the grain her style was her own and the way she delivered her words were thought provoking it made me visualize where she was coming from and understand her as a person I mean I only knew her for 45 seconds but I really felt like I got some insight on her personal life. She reminds me of the good Ol days when music made you feel something!
This was hip hop in its raw form un-commercialized, un commotifed, underground street rap with out the gimmicks that main stream artist are subjected to. Everyone that heard her bought her CD while she was rapping including me! The Godmother which also goes by "Ironic" I learned searching on youtube, is truly a diamond in the ruff and I know one day someone will hear her music and give her the exposure she deserves then her music can be heard on a larger scale, she truly deserves it to be! This girl was doing her thing! The sun was beaming down on her, on what seemed to be the hottest day of the year, wasn't a problem for her she was still hustling and that to me showed her determination to make her dreams come true. Ironic The Godmothers Car sitting on 20 "inch Rims now thats the way these chicks need to be! Get your own and shit on em! HAHA LOL naw I know is hard out her ladies but this chick was boss! crazy! sexy! and cool! check her out.
